Overview

As an Alternative Delivery Manager in Heavy Civil Construction, you guide all phases of collaborative delivery projects from pursuit through design and contract management. You work across Michels' teams and external partners to meet client expectations while upholding safety, social, and environmental standards. You lead with clear communication, multi-task efficiently, and make informed decisions to drive project success. This role offers impact in shaping complex civil delivery and advancing our client-focused, quality-driven approach.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and management across all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects
  • Lead business development, teaming, pursuits, proposals, and active contract and design management
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to exceed client expectations
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and decisiveness under tight deadlines
  • Collaborate on design-build and EPC delivery strategies and project delivery guidance
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of construction management experience
  • Experience in heavy civil construction including underground utilities, foundations, mass and finish grading
  • Experience with alternative delivery projects (design-build, EPC)
  • Travel up to 50% varies by assignment
  • Experience in key project leadership roles
  • Client management experience on pursuits and delivery
  • Understanding of win strategies, pricing and project scheduling
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Understanding of Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls Software
  • Valid driver license
