Overview

In this role you will handle sophisticated commercial, business, and securities disputes within a Dallas-based law firm with a long-standing practice. You will work on high-stakes matters in state and federal courts and arbitration forums, contributing to strategic litigation and arbitration initiatives. You will collaborate with a seasoned team to develop persuasive arguments and practical guidance for clients. Responsibilities
  • Handle sophisticated commercial, business, and securities litigation matters
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts and arbitration forums including FINRA and AAA
  • Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation-related filings
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex litigation strategies
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution
  • Conduct legal research and develop persuasive arguments
  • Provide practical and strategic counsel to clients throughout the litigation process
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing litigation team environment
Key requirements
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Licensed in good standing in Texas
  • 3-10 years of commercial or business litigation experience
  • Experience with securities litigation and arbitration preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Texas law and rules of procedure and evidence
  • Understanding of or willingness to develop expertise in FINRA-related litigation and arbitration
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
