Overview As Project Architect, you will lead design development for hyperscale and enterprise data centers and other mission-critical facilities. You will coordinate architectural work with MEP and other disciplines and supervise in-house construction administration on complex projects. You will mentor junior staff, shape design decisions within code and budget constraints, and collaborate across the project team to deliver high-quality construction documents. Responsibilities- Lead architectural scope for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects and other mission-critical facilities
- Coordinate architectural requirements for critical spaces (data halls, electrical rooms, UPS/battery rooms, generator buildings/yards, MEP galleries, security/operations)
- Drive interdisciplinary coordination to resolve clearance, access, envelope interfaces and constructability constraints
- Manage compliance to owner standards; document deviations and coordinate approvals
- Support fast-track delivery with early release packages and phased permitting
- Lead model-based review and coordination with the BIM/VDC team
- Provide mentorship to less experienced staff throughout projects
- Establish design parameters and assist in presenting design documents
- Formulate project work plan and plan mini-sheet work plans
- Oversee daily activities of the architectural project team and ensure technical quality of Construction Documents
- Produce schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Assist PM with schedule and budget adherence and scope change impacts
- Coordinate all disciplines, documents and enforce quality control
- Prepare addenda and bulletins related to architectural work
- Perform in-house construction administration duties (RFI responses, shop drawings reviews)
- Possess knowledge of company standards and contribute to improving office standards
- Familiar with Revit model creation/setup and laser scanning/point clouds
- Perform related duties as assigned
Key requirements- 15+ years related architecture experience
- 3-5+ years in data centers and/or mission-critical facilities preferred
- Experience delivering hyperscale/enterprise data centers or similar environments
- Experience with fast-track delivery, phased releases, and multi-package procurement
- Experience working with strict client/owner standards and program governance
- NCARB certificate required
- Registered Architect required
- LEED and WELL certifications preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, MS Office, MS Teams; Autodesk File Management System; familiarity with point cloud software
