Overview

As a Scientist at Pfizer you will contribute to analytical science across drug substance and product development, ensuring high-quality data to support regulatory filings and manufacturing. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and transfer analytical methods, forecast resource needs, and mentor colleagues. Your work will help accelerate breakthrough medicines to patients worldwide through rigorous analytical, regulatory, and collaborative excellence. You will leverage modern tools and techniques to solve complex problems and contribute to Pfizer's mission to improve patient health. Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical strategies for drug substance and product development across all phases
  • Support manufacturing process development and method transfer
  • Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods; design stability studies and impurity control strategies
  • Collaborate with experts to select analytical approaches, including computational tools and data visualization
  • Perform and oversee lab work; present data in team settings; mentor peers
  • Author sections of global regulatory submissions and prepare technical reports
  • Evaluate new instrumentation and analytical techniques; stay current with methodologies
  • Proficiently apply chromatography, dissolution, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, particle size analysis and NMR
  • Utilize software and information systems; continuously learn new techniques
  • Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and support problem solving
Key requirements
  • MS in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 4-6 years of experience or BS with 6-8 years of experience
  • Proven ability to meet timelines with minimal supervision and to lead cross-disciplinary teams
  • Strong learning aptitude for new techniques and solving complex analytical problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication, data visualization, and report drafting skills
  • Attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in analytical methodologies such as chromatography, dissolution, IR/Raman, MS, particle size analysis, and NMR
