Overview In this role, you own research and test development, validation, and staff education while shaping new laboratory procedures and analytical methods across subspecialties. You align work with laboratory standards and drive cross-functional collaboration to implement innovative tests. You will lead multiple work streams, manage procedures and policies, and ensure compliance and high-quality results. This position offers impact by advancing diagnostics, quality, and efficiency within a research-oriented laboratory team.
Responsibilities- Lead research and test development, validation activities, and staff education across laboratory subspecialties
- Foster collaboration and provide actionable feedback to drive projects forward
- Guide adaptation to changing demands and feedback, promoting open dialogue
- Drive execution of multiple work streams and translate business strategy into procedures and policies
- Gain cross-functional support, solve complex issues, and set standards and progress measures
- Develop work plans and coordinate resources to meet priorities and deadlines
- Remove obstacles and influence task completion by others
- Maintain testing and training standards, develop training materials, and ensure competency
Key requirements- Ph.D. in specified fields plus 6+ years in a related field
- 5+ years in a leadership role in healthcare
- Licensure in California for one of multiple specified clinical laboratory roles
