Overview In this role you will shape the procurement strategy for data center construction, enabling scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to align sourcing with business goals and drive supplier performance across a global network. You will solve complex procurement challenges, mitigate risks, and contribute to safety and capacity objectives in AWS data centers. Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for construction services
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive landscapes
- Manage RFP processes for data center construction with general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to improve efficiency and performance
- Create robust metrics and accountability for supplier performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, contracting, etc.)
- Proven track record in cost reduction through negotiations with global suppliers
- 5+ years of data analysis using Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau
- Program, project, or product management experience or leading product implementation
- 5+ years of experience with construction services and material procurement
