Overview In this Lab Supervisor role at Quest Diagnostics, you oversee the section to maximize staff and equipment utilization within budget while upholding quality standards. You lead and coordinate the team, schedule non-routine procedures, and ensure accurate test results. You'll maintain compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and direct training and performance development. Responsibilities- plan, organize, and direct the laboratory section to maximize efficiency within budget and quality standards
- oversee staff workload, interview and train personnel, and provide performance feedback
- schedule non-routine procedures and supervise advanced tests
- ensure quality-control measures and adherence to laboratory standards
- maintain safe, clean lab facilities and equipment
- participate in regulatory inspections and handle client inquiries
- perform duties of technologist as needed and complete special projects
Key requirements- Minimum five (5) years full-time supervisory experience
- Six (6) years clinical experience
- Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology (Required)
- ASCP Certification (Preferred)
- Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel License prior to first day (required/priority)
