Overview

In this role you drive civil/site project design with a focus on timely, budget-conscious delivery and client satisfaction. You will lead project teams, coordinate design tasks, and ensure technical quality across plans and reports. Collaborating with senior management, you shape projects from planning to construction, balancing profitability with high standards. This position offers exposure to large-scale warehousing, sports facilities, residential, and mixed-use developments, enabling you to accelerate your professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee technical accuracy and documentation across plans and reports
  • Manage and review design tasks such as conceptual planning, grading, and drainage
  • Perform ordinance reviews, utility research, agency coordination, and site visits during construction
  • Ensure quality control of project documents
  • Identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and propose solutions
  • Develop project schedules and construction timelines
  • Handle multiple projects with competing deadlines and manage workloads
  • Prepare proposal scopes, schedules, and change orders
  • Perform financial management including invoices, AR, and profitability
  • Lead and mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to AutoCAD procedures
  • Client management including status updates and project-specific discussions
  • Support senior management and collaborate with office staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of site design or land development design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Knowledge of PA land use processes and regulations
  • Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading
  • Experience in land development
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; mentoring capabilities
  • Strong communication with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and judgment skills
  • Construction oversight (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
