Overview In this role you support the DevSecOps team by administering Jira across multiple servers, aligning configurations, and enabling automated workflows for large-scale programs. You will collaborate with Radar Digital Product Line and Platform Engineering to maintain a secure, efficient Jira-enabled environment in a live, on-site setting. You help optimize processes, implement custom scripts, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery. Responsibilities- Manage user accounts and permissions across Jira environments, including onboarding/offboarding
- Standardize and synchronize configurations across Jira projects in shared environments
- Perform advanced system maintenance for performance and reliability
- Provide expert troubleshooting and training to users
- Design and optimize workflows, permissions, and project structures
- Lead upgrade planning, testing, and execution to minimize disruption
- Oversee tool integrations with Confluence, GitLab, and other DevOps platforms
- Implement advanced customizations using plugins like Structure, Project Configurator, ScriptRunner, and JSU Automation
- Design dashboards, reports, and queries to meet complex requirements
- Create high-level documentation for configurations and processes
- Monitor system performance and implement preventative measures
- Develop and refine automation scripts to streamline operations
- Spearhead refactoring to align with best practices
Key requirements- Degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience (typical)
- Experience as a Jira Administrator with workflows, permissions, and issue types
- Proficiency in Jira automation and scripting languages (Groovy, JavaScript)
- Experience with SDLC processes involving scripting/automation
- Experience with Jira dashboards, reporting tools, and plugins like Structure
- Experience with enterprise configuration management tools (Git, GitLab)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira for large-scale projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Interim Secret clearance, US citizenship required
