Overview In this role you will manage a portfolio of government contracts across various types, ensuring compliance and budgeting alignment. You will support project managers, lead startup and closeout activities, and negotiate agreements to streamline processes. You'll build strong customer relationships while solving complex contract challenges and contributing to the department's objectives. Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of contracts of varying types, complexities, and sizes while monitoring invoices and budgets to prevent overruns
- Ensure project compliance with government contracting requirements
- Support project managers by guiding contractual requirements
- Lead start-up and close-out processes for assigned projects
- Assist with cost proposals and narratives for projects
- Develop customer relationships, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
- Study, prepare, and negotiate agreements (e.g., Teaming, NDA, MOUs/MOAs, other binding agreements) as opportunities arise
- Provide highly complex problem solving and creative solutions to internal program teams
- Promote sound business principles to accomplish department and division objectives
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication within a team environment
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 6+ years
- Experience responding to RFPs, participating in proposal and review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, negotiations, and finalizing contracts
- Experience managing government contracts and subcontracts under FAR, DFAR, and agency supplements
- Experience handling records and reports to meet corporate and contract management requirements
- Experience closing contracts, resolving outstanding issues, issuing final modifications and invoices, and coordinating contractor performance evaluations
- Ability to interface with all levels of project teams and management
- Current TS/SCI with poly security clearance
- Strong interpersonal and written communication
