Overview As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead field operations to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. You will supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors across commercial, student housing, multi-family, senior living, and build-to-rent developments. You'll uphold safety standards, review plans, and drive progress through short-term schedules and milestones. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, quality control, and collaboration with project teams to meet client expectations. Responsibilities- Supervise daily field operations and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and on-site vendors to maintain safe, efficient progress
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance to foster a safety-focused site culture
- Review plans and specifications, communicate scope and sequences to crews, ensure work aligns with design and quality standards
- Develop and manage short-term and weekly schedules with project management to support overall project timelines
- Oversee quality control, conduct inspections, resolve defects, and complete punch lists for timely closeout
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and site logistics to optimize productivity and minimize delays
- Track labor productivity, report progress against budgets and schedules, identify risks with mitigation plans
- Facilitate subcontractor coordination, approve daily work activities, and enforce contract compliance and site housekeeping
Key requirements- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or comparable field leadership on commercial and multi-family projects
- Proven experience with commercial construction, student housing, multi-family, senior living, and build-to-rent projects is highly desirable
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, reading plans/specifications, and quality control
- Ability to manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and meet milestones under tight deadlines
- Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills with teamwork and mentorship
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
