Overview

In this role you will lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects for a multi-state civil engineering firm. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance, delivering on schedule and within budget. The position combines technical leadership with business development in a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects across planning, design, permitting, construction administration, and closeout
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget with forecasts and cost estimates to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Act as primary client contact, lead meetings and stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality and consistency
  • Oversee design, reports, permits, and compliance with codes and regulations
  • Administer contracts, change orders, and risk to protect project performance
  • Mentor and develop junior staff; support knowledge transfer
  • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain deliverable quality
  • Support business development through proposals and client pursuits
  • Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D and review design changes
  • Prepare project reports and executive updates for stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in applicable state(s)
  • 8-12 years of progressive civil engineering experience with municipal water/wastewater focus
  • Proven project management experience with schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of municipal permitting, environmental regulations, and construction administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills; mentoring ability
  • Budget management, contract administration, and financial forecasting
  • Business development experience a plus
