Overview

As an Electrical Construction Manager, you lead site management for Oil, Gas & Chemical construction, guiding engineering, constructability, procurement, and commissioning. You work with cross-functional teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding safety and quality. The role sits in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment that values hands-on leadership and delivering large energy projects. You'll mentor engineers and coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to drive successful project delivery. Responsibilities
  • Direct project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget goals
  • Oversee engineering, constructability, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Establish procedures aligned with contractual documents and quality plans; manage controls and budgets
  • Represent the project with clients, constructors, subcontractors, and vendors at key meetings
  • Coordinate training and compliance to ensure procedures are followed
  • Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule
  • Maintain communication with clients and adjust deliverables to meet contractual obligations
  • Ensure work products comply with codes and good engineering practices
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent Project Management experience
  • 10+ years of energy-industry experience
  • 10+ years of direct project oversight on self-performed construction
  • Proficiency in project control and administration software including MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
  • Professional Engineer License (desirable)
