Overview

In this role you will support attorneys in the Finance & Restructuring practice, managing complex scheduling, critical documents, and client interactions. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, accurate file management, and timely communications. Your work enables lawyers to focus on complex matters while maintaining high service standards. This position offers exposure to a dynamic legal environment and opportunities to contribute to efficient workflow and client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Open new matters with engagement letters and conflicts waivers
  • Perform routine admin duties and coordinate with Office Services, Finance, and Records
  • Maintain client and lawyer files per procedures; manage FileTrail records
  • Coordinate domestic and foreign travel; prepare itineraries and meeting materials
  • Maintain lawyers' contacts in Outlook and BD Hub
  • Answer calls, screen inquiries, relay messages, respond promptly to client needs
  • Create, format, edit, and manage Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents
  • Draft routine correspondence and forms
  • Assist Marketing and Business Development, research, and meeting materials for proposals
  • Track and process expense reports using Chrome River
  • Maintain CLE records for lawyers
  • Manage lawyers' schedules and calendars
  • Schedule and organize meetings and events with firm departments
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships with clients
Key requirements
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience as a legal practice assistant, executive assistant, or project assistant preferred
  • Typing proficiency of at least 65 WPM preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and involve stakeholders as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel; formatting with Styles; proofreading skills
