Overview

In this role you drive multi-campus development programs from design to construction, shaping campus master plans and capital budgets. You'll partner with design, construction, procurement, and operations teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You'll communicate project status to executives and guide strategic decision-making. The position offers exposure to mission-critical data center development and a culture focused on innovation and impact. This is an opportunity to lead pivotal projects that define QTS's data center real estate leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports
  • Create executive-ready monthly development and project status updates
  • Develop a master development program and campus design solution with capital budget
  • Manage entitlement, permitting, and site development plans
  • Prepare scopes of work and participate in procurement and cost estimates
  • Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning
  • Coordinate equipment procurement with strategic sourcing
  • Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders
  • Monitor budgets and track cost-to-date against project budgets
  • Establish schedules and lead teams to on-time completion
  • Review change orders and negotiate pricing
  • Establish site security procedures in collaboration with security team
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams for custom deal solutions
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and represent QTS in OAC meetings
  • Support due diligence for new sites and help enhance PM processes
Key requirements
  • 6+ years in commercial real estate development with CM and Design-Build delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) for executive updates and budgeting
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
