Senior Scientist I- Translational Medicine- PKS, ADME

Overview

In this role you will support discovery and development by designing, executing, and interpreting in vitro ADME assays while expanding lab automation for high-quality data. You will collaborate with cross-functional PK teams to guide compound optimization and decision-making, contributing to novel methodologies and automated end-to-end workflows. The position combines hands-on ADME work with AI-enabled analytics to scale throughput and standardize assay operations, within a mission-driven biotech context.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute and report ADME assays (metabolic stability, permeability) to support PK strategies
  • Interpret in vitro ADME data to inform early discovery and optimization decisions
  • Contribute to new ADME methodologies and expand assay capabilities
  • Advance automation strategies (liquid handling, miniaturization, multiplexing) to increase capacity and reduce manual work
  • Execute and contribute to automated end-to-end ADME workflows with AI-enabled analytics
  • Develop methods for bio-analysis using LCMS-MS, HRMS, and ICP-MS
  • Troubleshoot lab instrumentation and automation platforms
  • Manage study timelines, objectives and budgets and track progress
  • Communicate data, strategy and results to project teams
  • Contribute to internal ADME reports and regulatory documents (IND, IMPD, NDA)
  • Participate in cross-departmental teams and initiatives
  • Complete organizational trainings and adhere to SOPs, quality, and HSE guidelines
Key requirements
  • BSc or MSc with relevant ADME/DMPK experience
  • BSc: 7+ years; MSc: 4+ years in ADME/DMPK
  • Experience in drug discovery or development laboratory or CRO/Pharma/Biotech desirable
  • Experience in metabolic stability and permeability assays; cell culture experience a plus
  • Experience with automation integrated with AI-enabled analytics is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of related disciplines (bioanalytical, toxicology, biomarkers) in drug discovery
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, dynamic team; strong organizational and problem-solving skills
