Overview You will drive cosmetic formulation development in the New Providence lab, supporting skin care, hair care, sun care, and color cosmetics. Collaborating with the Regional Formulation Manager and science teams, you will prototype, test, and optimize formulations, while documenting results and maintaining records. The role combines hands-on lab work with cross-functional collaboration to enable ingredient promotions and customer projects. Responsibilities- Develop and customize cosmetic formulations for multiple categories under guidance of the Regional Formulation Manager
- Prepare batches/prototypes to support formulation development, ingredient evaluation, and customer projects
- Evaluate raw materials, functionality, processing parameters, and product performance
- Conduct lab investigations, troubleshooting, and product optimization with documented observations
- Initiate and manage stability studies following procedures, including data collection
- Maintain accurate formulation records, lab notebooks, stability data, and project docs in designated systems
- Create prototypes, technical materials, and lab demos for internal/external technical activities
- Collaborate with formulation scientists and stakeholders to support project objectives
- Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and materials to ensure organized operations
- Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements and participate in continuous improvement
Key requirements- 3-7 years hands-on cosmetic or personal care formulation lab experience
- Working knowledge of cosmetic formulation principles (emulsions, gels, gel-creams) and stability testing
- Strong lab, documentation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and formulation-related software
