Overview

In this role you will lead and contribute to R&D projects focused on power systems, collaborating with global teams and external partners to address real-world challenges. You will develop and evaluate next-generation concepts, publish results, and help ensure reliable operation of power systems. You'll apply research, simulation, programming, and problem solving to advance knowledge and technology in a high-impact energy domain. This position offers opportunities to drive innovation through cross-functional collaboration and external partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Propose, contribute to, and lead R&D projects in power systems and related fields
  • Collaborate with global teams to identify and solve real-world customer challenges
  • Develop and evaluate novel ideas and concepts for next-generation power systems
  • Share knowledge and expertise across the organization
  • Collaborate with external partners including universities, startups, and vendors
  • Prepare scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports
  • Demonstrate safety and integrity while taking responsibility for your work and supporting colleagues
  • Support research activities related to power systems and associated technologies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Key requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems
  • Experience with monitoring and control technologies such as SCADA, EMS, or substation automation
  • Experience with power system simulation platforms
  • Transmission or distribution control room operations; techno-economic optimization; microservice architecture and utility communication protocols
  • Energy Market operations; microgrids and active distribution systems
  • Experience in power systems research and development
  • Deep understanding of power system dynamics and associated control mechanisms
  • Fluency in Python or C++
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
