Overview As an Attendant Process at Hawthorn Generating Station, you support water treatment operations and laboratory activities to ensure safe, compliant plant water quality. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to monitor equipment, collect data, and prepare reports. This role offers hands-on experimentation and instrumentation work in a critical energy facility. You'll contribute to reliable plant performance and the company's mission to empower a better future.
Responsibilities- Conduct water analyses and operational checks for treatment processes with sample forwarding to laboratories
- Inspect and adjust water treatment and pollution control equipment; assist data collection with lab techniques
- Prepare reports
- Service, maintain, and clean station laboratory and chemistry-related equipment
- Utilize hand and power tools; support operations and maintenance personnel
- Operate and maintain required equipment for the role
- Perform similar and related tasks as assigned by supervision
Key requirements- Three years of industrial experience related to water treatment and purification (preferred)
- Must be licensed to drive as required by state law
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions; accommodations available upon request
- High School or equivalent; minimum five hours Organic Chemistry with grade C or above; Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred
