Responsibilities- Manage matters from pre-litigation strategy through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses
- Prepare and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions (demurrers, MSJs)
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on complex disputes
- Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for hearings and trial
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and case management conferences
- Assist with trial preparation (expert coordination, witness outlines, exhibit prep)
- Collaborate with clients and litigation team to develop effective case strategies
Key requirements- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 2-6 years of complex general litigation experience
- Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions
- Strong deposition, discovery, and case management skills
- Trial experience preferred
- Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
