Overview In this role you will supervise internal and external crews, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and construction of Eversource gas distribution systems. You will coordinate fieldwork, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and manage on-scene responses to outages. You'll partner with PMs to prepare comprehensive work packages and drive productive, high-quality field work. The position offers leadership in a safety-conscious utility environment with a focus on reliable service delivery and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and manage field workload and scheduling for gas maintenance and construction
- Supervise in-house and contractor crews to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality work
- Serve as on-scene supervisor during outages and classify gas leaks as needed
- Ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Lead safety meetings and enforce safety procedures and PPE usage
- Coordinate with project managers to prepare accurate work packages, permits, and drawings
- Monitor workload to optimize productivity and costs while meeting service level agreements
- Participate in on-call rotation and manage unionized crews
- Review and approve contractor/invoice charges for accuracy
- Uphold labor contracts and address grievances and disciplinary actions as necessary
- Support emergency restoration and be available for travel between MA/CT/NH
- Communicate with customers and community officials regarding operations and service delivery
- Ensure proper billing processes per contract language
- Comply with SCBA and PPE requirements when necessary
- Work in varied outdoor conditions and endure shift work including weekends
Key requirements- Five (5) or more years of experience in Gas Distribution, and/or Field Service design/installation or utility operations
- Bachelor in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator License and ability to obtain Operator Qualifications
- Knowledge of gas distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles
- Proficiency in project and schedule management tools and PC applications (Word & Excel)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills
- Understanding of labor contracts and related processes
- Ability to respond to outages and engage in on-call rotations
