Overview

In this role you will serve as a subject-matter expert on cost estimation for a multinational client, shaping budgets and cost governance across global construction activities. You will partner with project managers and the real estate team to define realistic budgets, identify cost risks, and implement robust cost management processes. Your expertise will help deliver projects on time and within budget while supporting value engineering and contract decisions. This is a chance to influence large-scale industrial and office builds within a leading real estate services firm. Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes
  • Support PMs and the Real Estate team as Cost Estimator; assist in defining budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes, and market conditions
  • Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams
  • Provide cost estimates across project lifecycle from preliminary to detailed stages
  • Evaluate cost control effectiveness and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plans
  • Apply cost and time-efficient construction methods to help deliver on schedule and within budget
  • Assist in value engineering, price negotiations, and claims with General Contractor when cost optimizations are needed
  • Maintain close collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure project success and growth targets
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract)
  • Special knowledge of cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and influencing factors
  • Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy
  • Understanding of contract types (pre-construction partnering, Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease)
  • International experience on industrial construction projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with BIM and cost databases
  • Structured, organized, self-starting work style
  • Proficiency in RIB iTwo or CostX or similar tools
