Overview As Senior Actuary in Pricing, you shape profitable growth by building and guiding pricing models for professional and general liability products. You'll work within the risk function, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate data into decision-ready insights. Your work spans from in-house submissions to rate plan enhancements, directly influencing product performance and risk management. This role offers impact across product development, pricing strategy, and operational risk decisions, in a collaborative, tech-enabled environment. You'll be at the heart of translating analytics into business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead development of pricing models for professional and general liability products
- Collaborate with Insurance Product, Tech Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Decision Engine teams on product implementation
- Drive pricing initiatives from inception to implementation and assess impact on business
- Proactively manage cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Analyze product performance using rate plans, rater, and related data sources; propose actions to leadership
- Develop internal KPIs, benchmarks, and pricing segmentation; assess rate adequacy
- Identify system and process improvements and propose solutions
- Coach others on actuarial analytics, cyber pricing, and risk concepts
Key requirements- Experience analyzing profitability of personal and/or commercial lines
- Ability to evaluate portfolio profitability using actuarial techniques and present to senior leaders
- End-to-end pricing project leadership with cross-functional collaboration
- ACAS or FCAS designations
- Proficiency with Excel and SQL; Python and/or R experience
- Ability to translate actuarial insights into actionable strategies for senior leadership
