Overview In this HR Specialist role at Kraton in Belpre, OH, you will partner with teammates and leadership to guide people practices across policies, compliance, and development. You'll support employee relations, training, onboarding, and labor relations to strengthen retention and engagement. The role blends administrative duties with strategic input to drive continual improvements in the workforce. You'll work closely with plant leadership to shape a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Responsibilities- Partner with employees and management to communicate guidance on HR activities, policies, laws, standards, and regulations
- Investigate employee relations issues including complaints, policy violations, grievances, harassment, civil rights
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend actions for improvement
- Create, facilitate, and provide workforce training
- Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs
- Administer performance management, including corrective action and IDP
- Interview, screen, and recruit for production, maintenance and other roles
- Maintain relations with Union officials and ensure compliance with labor agreement
- Represent management in grievances and monitor grievance processes
- Assist in evaluating reports and progress toward goals
- Recommend approaches to improve departmental efficiency
- Maintain HRIS and local files
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire processes
- Drive retention and engagement initiatives
- Develop labor/management relations programs and policies
- Balance administrative and professional responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Leverage plant admin team to complete HR tasks
- Provide customer support to employees across levels
- Act as a Company and Employee Advocate
- Perform other duties as business priorities require
Key requirements- 5-7 years HR experience with 2-3 years of labor relations experience
- Knowledge of HR basics related to major responsibilities
- Experience in manufacturing environment and in employee or labor relations, engagement, leadership development, training
- HRIS administration, record keeping, employee engagement, communication programs
- HR Specialist level experience in Training, Employee Development, Talent Acquisition, Benefits and Compensation beneficial
