Overview

In this role you will lead construction oversight for airport terminal renovations and major capital projects, acting as the Owner's Representative to ensure scope, schedule, safety, and quality align with program goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, construction, and airport stakeholders to resolve issues and keep critical milestones on track. The position offers a chance to influence large-scale infrastructure that enhances mobility and community resilience. Responsibilities
  • Review contractor resources (manpower, materials, equipment), schedules, and progress reports
  • Monitor contractor compliance with design and construction requirements; issue nonconformance notices and follow up on resolutions
  • Evaluate work plans, RFIs, submittals, force account/extra work tickets, and change orders
  • Proactively resolve issues related to scope changes and schedule slippage; ensure milestones are met
  • Provide recommendations to airport management for problem resolution
  • Ensure contractor adherence to policies (including labor relations) and sound construction practices for safety and quality
  • Prepare progress reports summarizing construction activity
Key requirements
  • 20+ years of diversified experience in large civil/structural and/or transportation (aviation) projects
  • Proven ability to serve as an Owner's Representative
  • Broad knowledge of construction processes and industry practices
  • Demonstrated managerial capability on projects of comparable scope and complexity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (client and executive presentations)
  • Professional registration or certification such as P.E. or CCM preferred
