Overview In this role you will serve as a senior technical authority designing, developing, and optimizing advanced scientific software for NASA Earth science modeling and HPC initiatives. You will lead the enhancement of modeling frameworks and software infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. This position offers impact through advancing Earth system modeling and high-performance computing for government programs. You will work in a mission-driven environment with opportunities to shape capabilities and impact across NASA science domains.

Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize scientific software and modeling frameworks
- Develop and enhance software infrastructure supporting Earth system modeling and HPC
- Improve application performance, scalability, and compute efficiency
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement new modeling capabilities
- Review, test, and document software to ensure quality and maintainability
Key requirements- PhD or Master's degree + 6+ years of relevant experience in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Approximately 15+ years of relevant experience
