Overview In this role you will oversee on-site construction management in Pittsburgh, ensuring the client's interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead staff and interface with the client, contractors, and authorities to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and compliant with contract documents. You'll drive high-quality outcomes through rigorous review, coordination, and change management, contributing to Hill's mission as a dedicated program, project, and construction management partner.

Responsibilities- Manage project team including Project Engineer, Field Inspectors, and Scheduler
- Maintain ongoing contact with the Client's Project Manager, on-site staff, Local Authorities and Agencies
- Assist contractor in interpretation of contract documents to protect client interests
- Implement and manage an effective RFI process among general contractor, CM, Client and Designer
- Review submittals for completeness and coordination; verify field conditions
- Approve and monitor contractor material testing program for compliance; provide additional testing as needed
- Initiate field changes and provide Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs) and price analysis; assess schedule impacts
- Provide written change order recommendations for client consideration
- Conduct weekly job progress meetings and other required meetings
- Verify quantities for progress payments; monitor contractor field measurements and submittals
- Review payroll, utilization reports, Progress Reports, and other submittals for contract compliance
- Conduct interim and final inspections; develop punch lists; verify as-built construction against contract documents
- Coordinate contractor schedules with the overall Project Schedule; develop work-arounds for variances
- Assist contractor scheduling to coordinate with utilities, client, municipalities, and outside agencies
- Attend community and business meetings; ensure punch list completion is satisfactory
- Expedite contractor's punch list work to meet project goals
Key requirements- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Engineering degree is preferred
- Airport experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent writing skills for project correspondence
