Overview In this role, you lead the transmission line scope within large EPC infrastructure programs, coordinating with owner teams and contractors to deliver technical and regulatory solutions. You will advise on routing, design, permitting, and constructability, while managing risk and ensuring alignment across multidisciplinary teams. You drive execution plans, monitor schedule and budget, and engage stakeholders to resolve challenges. Responsibilities- Lead transmission line scope within large EPC infrastructure programs and coordinate with contractor partners
- Advise clients on technical, regulatory, and execution aspects (routing, permitting, constructability, ROW, outage planning, material strategy)
- Plan, direct, and monitor scope execution with EPC contractor; oversee routing, engineering, environmental planning, ROW, procurement, construction, and outages
- Serve as primary transmission interface among owner, engineering, and EPC contractor to ensure design intent and constructability alignment
- Coordinate with substation, real estate, and environmental teams for integrated program delivery
- Identify and mitigate risks related to permitting, land access, lead times, contractor execution, and outages
- Develop execution plans, processes, and tools for transmission line delivery
- Oversee design and construction activities to ensure compliance with requirements and QA/QC
- Direct a multidisciplinary HDR team and subconsultants; ensure resources meet scope and contract requirements
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget; support change management and align with program goals
- Engage with clients, utilities, agencies, and stakeholders to support approvals and resolve technical challenges
- Mentor staff working on transmission line projects; perform additional duties as needed
Key requirements- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Significant experience in transmission line design and/or EPC delivery
- Experience delivering or overseeing high-voltage transmission line projects (115kV-500kV+)
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements
- Strong knowledge of transmission line design, permitting, and construction methods
- Experience with EPC contractors or construction partners
- Familiarity with EPC, P3, DBFOM delivery models; PMO environment; PMP certification
- Willingness to travel
- Bachelor's degree in related field; 10 years related experience; minimum 5 years of project management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software
