Overview

In this role you will translate manual assays into automated workflows, enabling high-throughput processing across teams. You'll develop automation-ready assays (ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR, NGS, LC-MS) and ensure systems stay validated under GXP compliance. You'll train colleagues, troubleshoot lab automation, and collaborate with suppliers to enhance methods and equipment. This position offers cross-functional impact in a fast-paced drug development setting and opportunities to shape automated capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Transfer manual assay methods to automated workflows
  • Develop automation assays (ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR, NGS, LC-MS)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve lab workflow issues
  • Coordinate maintenance, equipment updates, and supplier interactions
  • Train scientists to use automated equipment and manage cross-team instrument usage
  • Maintain automation systems in a validated state within lifecycle management and GXP
  • Review automation documents, PMs, and SOPs for compliance
  • Leverage technical knowledge to operate automated processing and IT systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • B.S./B.A. in Molecular biology, Engineering, Science, Information Technology, robotics or related field with 2+ years of experience
  • MS preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and support an inclusive culture
  • Knowledge of Hamilton, INTEGRA, LynX, Tecan, Tomtec
  • Genomics knowledge including immunoassays, nucleic acid extractions, qPCR, DNA sequencing (preferred)
  • Programming experience (R, Python, C++) and troubleshooting experience (preferred)
