Overview In this role you will serve as a strategic yet hands-on HR leader for a growing construction and infrastructure services organization. You'll partner with operational leaders, field management, and frontline employees to drive people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce growth. You will own recruiting outcomes, enhance leadership capability, and modernize HR processes to support rapid growth. Responsibilities- Lead high-volume recruiting across salaried, hourly, field, skilled trades, and project roles; develop scalable processes to support significant growth
- Partner with hiring managers and operational leaders to fill critical positions quickly and improve quality and speed of hire
- Improve workforce planning, employer branding, and candidate experience; track recruiting metrics and drive accountability
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations for a multi-site workforce; advise on employee relations, performance, investigations, and compliance
- Improve HR systems, analytics, and infrastructure; collaborate with payroll and benefits teams
- Provide leadership development, succession planning, and organizational design support
- Coach frontline leaders to improve retention, engagement, and workforce stability
- Drive change management and create practical HR programs aligned with business needs
- Establish trust and credibility with executive leadership and field operations
- Maintain a strong field presence and visible leadership across the business
- Within 12 months: accelerate recruiting speed, scale the TA function, strengthen partnerships with operational leadership, enhance workforce planning, and improve retention and HR reporting
Key requirements- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, industrial services, engineering, field services, or similar operational businesses
- Significant experience with large hourly and field-based employee populations
- Proven track record in high-volume recruitment and sourcing for skilled trades and technical roles
- Experience partnering with operational leadership teams and handling employee relations, compliance, and performance management
- Experience building or improving HR processes, systems, and multi-site workforce management
