Overview

As Scientific Director, you will steer the strategic direction of Wiley's Independent Medical Education (IME) and scientific content solutions. You'll shape evidence-based content strategies and educational programs across healthcare, life sciences, and pharma to drive engagement and growth. You'll bring medical judgment to content quality and serve as a clinical expert and escalation point for complex decisions. Working with editorial, product, and commercial teams, you will translate clinical concepts into accessible learnings and maintain credibility across the scientific and medical community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape IME and scientific content strategy and quality standards
  • Define scalable content models and review processes to support growth
  • Act as content strategist for sourcing, structuring, and scaling medical content
  • Collaborate with editorial, product, and commercial teams to develop innovative learning solutions
  • Monitor emerging clinical evidence, healthcare trends, and regulatory developments
  • Represent Wiley's clinical expertise to internal and external stakeholders
  • Translate complex clinical concepts into actionable content for learning and decision-making
Key requirements
  • PhD, MD, or equivalent medical degree
  • Direct IME-like clinical review or content experience
  • Strong understanding of clinical evidence and guideline development
  • Experience in content strategy, editorial, or medical communications
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
