Overview As a Contracts Manager in Salesforce's US Public Sector Legal team, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring FAR compliance and alignment with internal policies. You'll be the primary liaison with Government Contracting Officers, guiding contract execution, risk mitigation, and growth of federal contracts. You'll collaborate across Legal, Deal Strategy, and procurement functions to optimize processes and resolve performance issues. Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end government contract lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with FAR, agency supplements, and internal policies
- Oversee contract execution, order conversions, pricing verifications, and close-outs
- Collaborate with AP/AR to manage invoicing and payments (e.g., WAWF)
- Partner with Legal and Deal Strategy to maintain product/pricing catalogs and resolve issues
- Advise stakeholders on public sector procurement, identifying and mitigating contractual/regulatory risks
- Evaluate existing agreements to remove bottlenecks and drive scalable solutions
- Deliver SME training on public sector procurement processes and best practices
- Drive process improvements and optimize contracting tools and governance
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree; J.D. or related master's a plus
- 7-10+ years' experience in government contracts within public sector or tech/software
- Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and commercial item acquisition rules
- Experience with major contract vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedules, NASA SEWP) and standard FAR types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus)
- Industry focus on SaaS and professional services contracting
- Strong background in government financial workflows, including pricing, invoicing, and WAWF
- Practical knowledge of DoD/IC compliance, governance and security considerations
- Exceptional business judgment and risk assessment in fast-paced environments
