Overview

Join Stantec to lead and manage permitting for oil & gas midstream and energy-transition projects. You'll work within a diverse environmental team to navigate regulatory processes, coordinate with agencies, and maintain strong client relationships. You will shape permitting strategies, deliver technical submissions, and uphold HSSE standards across project lifecycles. Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects
  • Manage permit applications and agency coordination for Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and support proposal development
  • Create and review technical documents for regulatory submissions
  • Ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment policies across all project phases
  • Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution
  • Contribute to multiple projects and offices nationwide as part of a larger team
Key requirements
  • Experience managing pipeline projects
  • Experience permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines
  • Experience with FERC and NEPA requirements and processes
  • Experience managing FERC-regulated projects (7(b)/7(c) applications and prior notice/blanket authorization)
  • Experience managing resource report development for FERC-regulated projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and client-focused mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage heavy workloads
  • Project and task management experience with attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
