Overview In this role you will lead complex construction projects from planning through closeout, acting as a client advocate and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and vendors. You will drive budgeting, scheduling, and procurement while maintaining schedule discipline and quality across the lifecycle. The position offers a mix of on-site and off-site work in the San Francisco area, with a focus on delivering measurable project controls and financial outcomes. Responsibilities- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction execution, monitoring, and closeout
- Serve as the client-facing extension of the client team and primary contact across stakeholders
- Manage multi-stakeholder logistics, approvals, and site constraints to ensure predictability
- Provide actionable feedback and propose solutions to quality issues
- Travel periodically for off-site kickoffs, client meetings, and active job sites
- Oversee baseline schedule tracking, cost estimating, cash flow forecasting, and change order evaluation
- Ensure open-book transparency on GC buyouts, contracts, exposures, and commitments
- Oversee invoicing, billing, and collections
- Monitor labor/material escalation in the Bay Area to validate cost estimates and support budget decisions
- Lead proactive risk management, contingency tracking, and schedule/budget recovery planning
- Maintain project documentation, QA controls, and client reporting standards across lifecycle
Key requirements- 7+ years of hands-on construction project management and project controls experience across all lifecycle phases
- Sector expertise in commercial interiors/TIs, base building/renovations, healthcare, life sciences, or ground-up vertical construction
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, site logistics, and building design/construction processes
- Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project or Primavera P6; e-Builder/Procore or similar; Bluebeam/PDF tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Ability to travel to support off-site activities and work onsite in SF Bay Area as needed
