Overview In this role, you ensure reliable data center operations and hardware management to support SpaceX's mission-critical infrastructure. You will work within the infrastructure team to install, manage, and upgrade servers, networking, and power systems, while maintaining high availability and security. The position requires hands-on experience with multiple hardware architectures and cross-site collaboration to resolve incidents and optimize performance. Responsibilities- Resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents across multiple data centers
- Manage full lifecycle for data center hardware including deployment, operation and decommission
- Physically rack and cable equipment; track physical storage
- Perform QA testing and resolve recurring issues
- Schedule and track hardware maintenance tasks
- Update port maps, rack layouts and create operational procedures
- Monitor environmental conditions, power and cooling for data center devices
- Run diagnostics and replace failing parts promptly
- Upgrade internal system components (CPU, memory, storage)
- Setup and operate Linux and Windows servers
- Document processes and keep event logs
- Coordinate with purchasing on procurement of new equipment
Key requirements- Bachelor in STEM or 3+ years data center experience in lieu of a degree
- Professional data center or IT hardware experience
