Central Texas Building Engineering Services Project Delivery Leader

Overview

In this role, you lead project delivery for HDR's Building Engineering Services in Central Texas, shaping multi-disciplinary facility projects from design through execution. You'll promote best PM practices, mentor staff, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment across the group. You'll collaborate with leaders to streamline processes, drive profitability, and support recruitment, all while advancing HDR's employee-owned culture and world-wide impact in building innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area
  • Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BG
  • Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers
  • Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement of Project Management including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned
  • Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with BG operations, market leadership / sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
  • Perform delegated matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities from BGM
  • Work with Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the overall Area, corporate policy, and MOA
  • Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials and driving profitability at the project level
  • Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
  • Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and PARR's and support project teams with management of claims and losses
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
  • Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
