Overview As Cost Manager in Denver, you drive project financials by developing accurate budgets and cost plans for diverse client portfolios. You will work with a cross-functional team to interpret scope, prepare estimates, and manage change orders, supporting risk and value management initiatives. Responsibilities- Develop budget estimates through quantity take-offs from plans/specs or conceptual info
- Interpret project scope from documents and define the work
- Build unit costs based on labor and material rate structures
- Engage with local markets and gather feedback
- Foster subcontractor/vendor and client relationships
- Prepare and deliver summary analyses for assigned scope
- Evaluate and peer-review change orders and cost estimates
- Contribute to continuous cost management processes and risk/value management on projects
- Lead development of estimates for projects under supervision
- Participate in local industry events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- BS in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong cost-estimating knowledge and methods
- Ability to read Arch, Civil, Structural, MEP, Geotech, Site Logistics documents
- Proficiency in measuring and understanding trades, procurement strategies, and delivery methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with teams and clients
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends
- Proactive self-development and learning mindset
- Working toward professional certification (MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE) is preferred
