Senior Quality Assurance PM, Mechanical - Data Center Construction

Overview

In this role you will lead quality assurance for large-scale data center construction projects. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design standards and governance are applied consistently while driving timely, reportable progress. You'll provide technical guidance on mechanical systems, cost control, and constructability, influencing project outcomes. This position sits within our Data Center Construction team, offering exposure to high-impact programs and a chance to shape delivery on mission-critical facilities. You will work closely with owners, architects, and contractors to deliver outcomes that meet client objectives and business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Communicate effectively within the internal team to ensure efficient delivery
  • Analyze and track critical milestones to prevent schedule slips
  • Verify governance, processes, and systems are applied
  • Ensure best-practice standards are applied on all projects
  • Produce formal project status reports and other required reports
  • Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are followed
  • Manage interfaces with suppliers via monthly trackers and weekly reviews
  • Facilitate project information flow through meetings and written communications
  • Forecast and update key project milestones
  • Oversee local design teams per commission criteria
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, GCs and regional stakeholders
  • Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field
  • Provide expertise on cost control, value engineering, and constructability
  • Independently review status reports, drawings, timelines and costs
  • Develop excellent client relationships to maximize opportunities
  • Offer strategic thinking to help meet client and business objectives
  • Capture key information and learnings from each project
  • Identify process improvements for internal systems
  • SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant PM experience with mechanical systems in built environments
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills
  • Background in design or construction with mechanical or BMS controls experience
  • Alternatively, experience in a vendor equipment factory supporting quality control of mechanical equipment
  • Experience commissioning mechanical systems and equipment in data centers
  • Proficiency managing construction documents (BODs, specs, contract drawings, CDs/Es, submittals, RFIs)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, Project, Smartsheets
