Overview

As an HR Business Partner at Showpad, you will partner with executives and leaders to translate business goals into people strategies and address people risks. You'll operate at the intersection of strategy and operations, shaping organizational design and driving performance initiatives. You lead with equity and inclusion, build trust quickly, and influence without authority to support business outcomes. This role blends advisory work with hands-on program execution, focused on improving the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR matters including organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
  • Translate business goals into people strategies and identify risks/opportunities early
  • Build credible relationships at all levels while maintaining confidentiality
  • Independently manage complex employee relations issues with fair, compliant judgment
  • Coach executives and managers on difficult conversations, performance management, and terminations
  • Maintain knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws and apply them to mitigate risk
  • Own end-to-end core People programs (merit cycles, performance reviews, engagement surveys, exits)
  • Partner with People Ops to implement process improvements
  • Maintain data accuracy in Workday and use analytics for insights and decision making
  • Prepare concise reports and dashboards for stakeholders
  • Drive change initiatives with leadership on adoption and sustained behavior change
  • Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture and advocate for employees

Key requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HRBP role
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect people strategies to outcomes
  • Proven ability to resolve complex employee relations matters with empathy and legal grounding
  • Solid knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience executing people programs with high attention to detail (merit cycles, performance management, engagement surveys)
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and data reporting tools (Excel, Culture Amp)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across all levels
  • Experience in a high-growth, international software/tech company is a plus
  • Location flexibility with preference for Chicago, Boston, or London and ability to work onsite two days per week
