Overview In this role you drive discovery research as a molecular biology and gene-delivery expert, leading a team to develop assays and reagents for preclinical programs. You collaborate across Discovery Research and other departments to establish a product pipeline and support IND-enabling studies. You oversee experimental planning, resources, and data interpretation to advance the CAR-T platform for autoimmune diseases. You contribute to process improvements and adopt new technologies, shaping rapid, data-driven progress.

Responsibilities- Lead a team executing R&D experiments, assay development, and reagent production
- Collaborate with scientists to design and run critical experiments for new preclinical projects
- Plan and interpret team lab work within program timelines
- Identify required resources (people, equipment, space) to meet objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional peers and management to set objectives, report results, and align on goals
- Drive process improvements and introduce new molecular biology and gene delivery technologies
Key requirements- PhD in Molecular Biology/Cell Biology or similar field
- At least 2 years in biotechnology industry
- Expertise with advanced molecular biology techniques and assay development
- Experience with gene delivery methods to primary T-cells (e.g., Lentiviral, lipid nanoparticles, AAV)
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Excellent written and verbal scientific communication
- Willingness to contribute to a growing early-stage organization and learn new technologies
