Overview In this role you will join the Albers Lab at MIND to advance mechanistic and translational neurodegenerative disease research. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to develop data from mouse models and integrate external datasets, assessing human relevance and pharmacological rescue. You will generate biomarker data and help standardize outcomes, while supporting publications and conference presentations. You will collaborate across computational, clinical and bench researchers to drive impactful discoveries.
Responsibilities- Lead standardization of pre-specified outcomes for mouse data and manage the generated datasets
- Design and execute experiments and research projects; select appropriate methods and technologies
- Collaborate with external researchers and support potential external project funding
- Generate and analyze biomarker data using the MSD assay platform and integrate external datasets to evaluate human relevance
- Present results at conferences and contribute to publications
- Assist PI in training and supervising lab personnel and support administrative tasks
Key requirements- Doctorate in related field
- 5-7 years of previous research experience (graduate and postdoc)
- Excellent research skills and demonstrated scientific competence
- Broad knowledge of the field with potential for scientific creativity
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and exercise leadership
