Senior Client Manager - Employee Health & Benefits

Overview

In this role you will manage client relationships and oversee the delivery of employee health and benefits services. You will be the primary contact for clients, guiding welfare plans and regulatory compliance while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. You will anticipate and resolve complex service issues independently, escalating only when approval is needed. The position sits within MMA's Employee Health & Benefits team, supporting client satisfaction and service excellence in a fast-paced environment. This is a meaningful role for shaping client programs and ensuring compliant benefits delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships and ensure effective delivery of benefits services
  • Oversee benefit annual enrollment periods and day-to-day service issues
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Provide guidance on welfare benefit plans and regulatory compliance
  • Anticipate and resolve complex service issues with minimal escalation
Key requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry
  • Experience in customer service or project management
  • Extensive knowledge of group insurance products (medical, dental, vision, life, disability) and ability to research regulatory issues
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Agency Management Systems (EPIC, BenefitPoint, ImageRight)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure in a high-production environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to navigate client relationships at various levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
