Overview As Estimator at Fisk Electric, you will develop and manage cost estimates for complex electrical systems on resort hotels, retail, data centers, and high-profile projects. You'll produce engineered estimates up to $5M and conceptual budgets up to $1M, while ensuring scope alignment and contract clarity. You collaborate with project teams to identify gaps, question deficiencies, and refine take-offs using specialized software. This role sits at the intersection of bid accuracy and project success, contributing to Fisk's legacy of iconic builds.
Responsibilities- Estimate multiple systems on high-profile projects (hotels, retail, data centers, F1) and participate in engineered estimates up to $5M
- Develop conceptual budgets up to $1M and ensure estimates align with proposal scope
- Review proposal scope and integrate appropriate work into estimates
- Create detailed cost estimates and identify deficiencies or questions for the project team
- Assess contract documents and modifications to determine scope and cost adjustments
- Review and interpret take-offs and NEC-related requirements
- Proficient use of estimating software; familiarity with McCormick and Bluebeam
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
Key requirements- 2+ years of electrical estimating experience
- 2+ years of experience with an electrical subcontractor
- Proficient with estimating software; comfortable with computer systems
- Knowledge of NEC and contract document interpretation
