Responsibilities- Own the technical design lifecycle from development through pre-production approval
- Translate designers' concepts into detailed technical specs and production-ready product
- Conduct live-model fit sessions and provide actionable fit and balance feedback
- Analyze samples for specifications, pattern, construction, and workmanship
- Collaborate with overseas factories and manufacturing partners with precise written and visual feedback
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, production, quality, and costing challenges
- Manage multiple styles and deadlines to keep milestones on track
- Build partnerships with Design, Production, Merchandising, and manufacturing teams
- Serve as the primary technical design contact for overseas partners
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed
Key requirements- 10+ years of Technical Design experience in fashion-forward apparel or Better/Contemporary segment
- Deep expertise in garment construction, fit, pattern-making, and tailoring
- Strong ability to translate design vision into production-ready product
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and overseas teams
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building across Design, Production, Merchandising, and manufacturing
- Exceptional organization and time-management for multiple projects and deadlines
- Proactive, self-motivated problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven fashion environment
