Overview As Manager of Safety and Training, you lead safety, security, and training across warehouse and ramp operations to meet corporate, airline, customer, and regulatory standards. You will drive a culture of safety, manage investigations, and optimize training to reduce risk while maintaining efficiency. Responsibilities- Champion safety excellence through innovative training and engagement initiatives
- Ensure safety protocols align with corporate, airline, customer, and regulatory requirements (FAA, TSA, OSHA)
- Lead investigations for safety incidents and implement root cause corrective actions
- Provide guidance on safety best practices and behavior-based safety to managers and supervisors
- Oversee training schedule and ensure new hire and recurrent training are on time
- Allocate and optimize training facilities and instructional personnel
- Coordinate on-duty injury follow-ups and support affected employees
- Manage workplace accommodations, return-to-work processes, and injury follow-up
- Conduct routine security audits and investigate policy breaches and loss events
- Lead confidential investigations and timely reporting on theft, fraud, workplace violence, and critical incidents
- Hold monthly safety meetings to promote culture, meet requirements, and identify hazards
- Drive projects for injury prevention and risk reduction across the organization
- Influence behavior to foster a safety-first mindset at all levels
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in aviation and warehouse operations
- 5+ years ramp safety experience
- 5+ years in law enforcement, loss prevention, or related field
- 3+ years disability management, workers' compensation, or related field
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations and respond to events outside business hours
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA, and best practices in injury management and ergonomics
- Ability to manage sensitive information
