Overview In this role you will lead a dedicated construction organization to deliver safe, on-time, within-budget projects while upholding quality. You'll engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, presenting complex project updates and driving risk-based decisions. You will analyze and optimize construction processes, shaping milestones from design through turnover. This position offers impact across safety, cost control, and schedule performance within a mission-driven consultancy.
Responsibilities- Ensure safe, secure, and cost-effective execution of project scope within baselines
- Coordinate resources and represent construction on project teams across functions
- Monitor and report on safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance; implement corrective actions
- Communicate baseline status and resource needs to management; drive project success
- Hold team accountable for policy compliance and performance
- Support development and evaluation of construction strategies and techniques
- Provide risk analyses and alternative action strategies to accelerate milestones
- Foster collaboration across Operations, DOE, and other departments
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 13-15 years of construction experience (or equivalent with an associate degree and more years)
- In-depth knowledge of construction, cost, scheduling, and subcontract administration
- Knowledge of project management at the tactical level; operations, maintenance, and start-up experience desirable
- Working knowledge of national codes, standards, and environmental regulations
- Experience working in radiological/nuclear environments
- Ability to manage baselines for cost, schedule, and quality
- U.S. citizen with valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle
