Overview In this role you support the fuel division by coordinating daily gas station operations, ensuring safety and courteous service for customers and staff. You will work with the team to manage opening, closing, cash handling, and routine maintenance while maintaining orderly fuel storage and responding to issues. Your work drives smooth station operations, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on, on-site role with a meaningful connection to the community and culture central to ASRC.
Responsibilities- Inspect entry doors for tampering at opening
- Turn on pumps and compressor
- Attend to customers from opening to closing
- Process Receive on Account (ROA) and reconcile credit card sales
- Report problems (vandalism, leaks, non-working equipment, lights) to management
- Open shift cash handling and till reconciliation
- Keep petroleum products neatly stacked
- Coordinate with Tank Farm for pickup/delivery of kerosene, propane, AV gas
- Receive payments or secure credit authorization
- Maintain workplace cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, trash)
- Take office trash outside and clean Petro-vend Room
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Be on-call as needed
Key requirements- Inupiaq language proficiency is important and preferred
- Strong knowledge of Inupiat culture
- High school or equivalent certification
- Ability to work independently and varying shifts including nights and seven-day weeks
- 40-hour Hazwoper certification is preferred
- Hazardous Material Certification is preferred
- Hazardous Communication Certification is preferred
- First Aid CPR Training is preferred
- Spill Response Training is preferred
