Overview As an Underwriter II, Energy, you will underwrite new and renewal business for the Power and Utility segment, partnering with brokers and internal subject matter experts to assess risk and profitability. You will expand the broker network, provide timely service, and contribute to management information like submissions and premiums. This role supports AIG's transformation of risk solutions and growth in energy insurance. You will work in a collaborative, office-based environment with clear performance goals.

Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal business for the Power and Utility segment
- Assess risk via broker contact, SME coordination, and review of claims history and company information
- Build and maintain broker relationships, provide proactive underwriting service
- Generate new business by expanding broker network and attending broker events
- Deliver accurate monthly management information (submissions, bind rate, average premium, total premium)
Key requirements- 3+ yrs in underwriting experience (preferred)
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
