Overview

In this role you will monitor and analyze regulatory developments affecting Consumer & Community Banking, partnering with stakeholders to manage change and strengthen legal processes. You will design and enhance regulatory change management, leverage emerging tech for efficiency, and support AI-driven legal solutions. You'll contribute to a leading financial institution's compliance efforts in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with opportunities to shape regulatory responses and risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting CCB
  • Draft clear, concise summaries of developments and their impacts
  • Partner with Legal and control functions on regulatory and change management matters
  • Design, implement, and enhance legal and regulatory change management processes
  • Assess and leverage emerging technology for process improvement
  • Develop and refine AI prompts and inputs to support legal research and workflows
  • Respond to regulator, audit, and compliance inquiries
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and across departments
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and proactively solve problems
  • Multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, complex environment
Key requirements
  • J.D. or educational equivalent required
  • Admission to practice law and licensing requirements in the jurisdiction before employment
  • Three or more years of experience in legal practice in consumer banking, financial services regulation, and/or financial services litigation
  • Excellent legal analysis and research skills, including issue-spotting
  • Knowledge of US state legislative and regulatory processes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to draft and refine AI prompts and assistants
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, take ownership, and solve problems
  • Multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Conflicts of interest clearance prior to commencement of employment
