Overview As a Resident Engineer at GPI, you lead on-site construction management for transportation projects in Pennsylvania, supervising technical staff and coordinating day-to-day activities. You ensure work aligns with contract documents, codes, and project budgets while interfacing with operations, contractors, and stakeholders. The role offers exposure to bridge rehabilitation and large-scale projects within a forward-thinking, diverse culture. Responsibilities- Verify construction conforms to contract documents, specs, and codes
- Manage inspection services to meet schedule and budget targets
- Review daily narratives, labor reports, and material usage for accuracy
- Coordinate construction with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and stakeholders
- Assess contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics
Key requirements- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field; NICET Level 3-4 in Highway Construction
- 5+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects for PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike; emphasis on bridge rehabilitation/reconstruction
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Project experience >$10 million is preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR; access to personal vehicle for job sites
- Proficiency in reading plans and directions in English; basic MS Office; familiarity with SharePoint and Teams
